What happens when the nation’s foremost voice on the race question is also its most confined and restrained? Michael Eric Dyson raises this question about President Obama in his latest book, “The Black Presidency: Barack Obama and the Politics of Race in America.” The book inspires one to raise similar questions about Dyson himself. For, while hardly restrained, Dyson appears noticeably boxed in by the limitations placed on celebrity race commentators in the Age of Obama.

I found this in the NY Times... a "Black" commentator who is "boxed in" while commenting on a Black President who is likewise "boxed in". Boxed in by whom? Boxed in by what? These are the salient questions here since the entire article tip toes around the White Supremacist; that is, the racist man and racist woman who constitute the "reason" for the boxing up of non-white men and women the world over. Michael Dyson is a great speaker and writer and thinker, he appears to be trying with all the intellect and flair he possesses to impact the situation, but what does he mean to the racists? Is he in fact an obstacle to their agenda? I don't think so. The Code (of counter-racist logic) says the only way to impact the system of White Supremacy to employ, motivate, and engage large numbers of non-white people to practice thought, speech, and actions which are counter-active to the system of White Supremacy. Does Tyson make the mark?
