...is that it helps to ask questions pertaining to the "value" of being White, without using the word "significance". Once you use the word "significance" White people tend to get offensive as if you're implying being White really has no "significance".
Questions such as;
Does being White have any value?
How is being White more valuable than being "Black"?
Yes I do understand the quote on page 334 of the Code book. If White people hated "Black" people because "Black" people are "Black", what value would that add to "whiteness"? If White people hate "Black" people because White people are not "Black" it adds a new spin on the "value" White people place on being White.
